The Ascot Sportsmans Bar came runner up in the 2006 Hospitality Association of New Zealand (HANZ) awards for New Zealand’s best Sports Bar. This was a close competition with high quality entries from the length and breadth of New Zealand, although we didn’t get first place making runner up gave us cause to be proud of what we have to offer locals and houseguests by way of a traditional Public Bar scene.

The Ascot Sportsmans Bar is open for hotel guests and the public alike to come and unwind from 10am until late, seven days a week. With a TAB, giant TV screen, pool tables, darts and a friendly atmosphere the Ascot tavern is a great pace to come, relax and enjoy a drink.

The Ascot Sportsmans Bar also has a bottle store for your takeaway requirements, open seven days a week from 10am onwards.
