Chemical Free Cleaning
After extensive scientific testing by independent assessors proving the efficacy of microfiber cloths over traditional cleaning chemicals on site at the hotel, Ascot Park Hotel housekeeping staff have traded their environmentally damaging chemical cleaners for microfiber cloths as cleaning agents.
If you would like more information about our testing procedures, the decision to change our policy or anything to do with chemical free cleaning, please feel free to contact Ascot Park Hotel’s General Manager, Peter Ridsdale, who initiated this change.
Dog Island Sponsorship
Wash your clothes in our hotel laundry during your stay and you’ll be supporting the restoration of an important maritime, historical and culturally significant asset to Southland. Ascot Park Hotel has chosen “Dog Island”, a small island on the eastern approaches of Foveaux Strait housing New Zealand’s tallest lighthouse, as a project to support.
